Collaborative Innovation

The ambition is to contribute significantly to the 2030 and 2050 climate goals. To realize this ambition, it is necessary to strengthen the cross‑mission activities that are most effectively addressed through an interdisciplinary, cross‑mission project collaboration.

There are four themes that focus on roadmap overlaps and shared challenges common to all four partnerships. The themes are:

1) New and innovative regulatory solutions

Projects granted under Theme 1 should provide recommendations for new, innovative regulatory solutions to change the overall policy landscape across the 4 IMs to support implementation of novel solutions.

2) Green transition and land use

Projects granted under Theme 2 should provide insights and solutions that strengthen sustainable land use planning across the four IMs, supporting a coordinated and holistic green transition.

3) Engaged citizenship for large‑scale transitions

Projects granted under Theme 3 should develop knowledge and approaches that strengthen citizen engagement across the four IMs, supporting the behavioral and societal changes required for large‑scale transitions.

4) Carbon balance and management

Projects granted under Theme 4 aim to address Denmark’s carbon management needs, considering both human society and the preservation of nature and biodiversity. By optimizing carbon processes across the four IMs, these projects can significantly reduce waste and emissions, thereby directly contributing to climate goals.
